Isaac Nathaniel Byrd will graduate from Alton High School in 2025. He is the son of Mary and Israel Byrd and the brother of Rebekah Byrd. His favorite family activity is playing video games, and his favorite childhood memory is family game nights.
Isaac has participated in cross country and track and field for two years. He has also helped deliver coffee to teachers and classmates at AHS. Running is his favorite activity, and his favorite high school memory is becoming a teammate on the cross country and track and field teams.
Isaac enjoyed P.E. and math the most. Outside of school, he enjoys playing video games and training his dog. The two words that best describe him are nice and helpful.
After high school, Isaac plans to pursue schooling to become a K-9 police officer. In 10 years, he sees himself married with kids and working in the career he loves. Two things on his bucket list are becoming a K-9 police officer and being a dedicated family man.
The teachers and coaches who had the biggest impact on Isaac are Mr. and Mrs. Cockrum and Mrs. Shirley.
Isaac will miss running with his teammates most at AHS. If he could be remembered for one thing, he would be a fun person to be around. His advice to underclassmen is to be open-minded and understanding toward those with disabilities or challenges, always help those around them, remember that everyone is different, and always be kind.
