Andrew Trantham, Senior 2025

Alton High School’s Class of 2025 is proud to count Andrew Karson Trantham among its ranks. Karson, as he is known to friends and family, is the son of Teresa McFaul and Jeff Trantham, as well as a brother to Chris, Tyler, and Maddy. A family man at heart, Karson cherishes time spent visiting on the porch and fondly recalls childhood wrestling matches with his brothers as some of his happiest memories.

Throughout his high school career, Karson has been actively involved in numerous organizations including Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), and the AHS basketball team. He enjoys spending time with friends on the basketball court and his most cherished high school memory is winning the Big Springs Conference Championship.

Karson’s favorite class during high school was speech, which allowed him to express himself and connect with others. Outside of school, his passions include farming, playing video games, and basketball.

Looking ahead, Karson dreams of owning a successful business. He describes himself as hardworking, fast-working, and meticulous. After graduating, he plans to complete Advanced Individual Training (AIT) and begin training at the fire academy. In 10 years, he envisions himself living in his dream home, married, earning a six-figure income, and enjoying life to the fullest.

The top three things on Karson’s bucket list are traveling to Colorado, building his dream home, and launching his own business. Karson's late grandfather is his greatest inspiration. He taught him life lessons he’ll carry forever. “He was always fun to talk to about life,” Karson shares, reflecting on their meaningful bond.

On the court, Coach Honeycutt has had the most significant impact on Karson. He challenges him to push past his limits and grow as an athlete and an individual.

As his time at Alton High ends, Karson says he’ll miss the tight-knit, family-like atmosphere the most. His advice to underclassmen is “Stop complaining and just get over it.”

With his determination and drive, Karson is ready to embrace the future and carve out his path to success.
