Our PTO elves are Amazing! They have been shopping and stocking the Elementary Christmas Shop. The shop begins next Monday, December 16 and end Wednesday, December 18. Items are color coded with stickers and the table color. All items are priced 2/$1.00 to $5.00. Each gift will be wrapped and ready for students to take home to gift. Thank you for making this an exciting experience for our students. We will have volunteers help students budget their money so please make sure their green shopping lists are returned!
The welding classes have spent the last few days building this Tensegrity table and have finally put it all together. They are now painting it and will soon add a top. Once complete, the table will be available for bids on the Alton RIV Welding Shop Facebook Page.
They are deciding whether to use a barn wood top or glass—please comment with your preference! This piece will make an awesome conversation starter or a fun way to confuse your friends about how it’s standing.
If you’re interested, keep an eye on the Alton RIV Welding Shop Page for a post announcing the start of bidding. All proceeds will go back into the welding program.

Jaiden Sisco, set to graduate from Alton High School in 2025, is the son of Chester Dean Sisco and Kelly Marie Dalton. He shares a close bond with his siblings: Dawson Sisco, Caiden Dalton, Will Sisco, Kennedy Dalton, and Evan Sisco.
A cherished family pastime for Jaiden is playing "Name That Tune," also one of his favorite childhood memories is celebrating Christmas surrounded by all his brothers. Shopping ranks high on his list of enjoyable activities, as he loves acquiring new things. Jaiden is passionate about fitness outside of school and spends his free time at the gym. If granted one wish, he’d ask for a "very nice lamp." Jaiden describes himself in three words: motivated, handsome, and kind.
During his four years at AHS, Jaiden has been actively involved in Beta Club, FCCLA, choir, basketball, and track. Beyond academics and extracurriculars, Jaiden has made significant strides in his military journey, having enlisted in the National Guard as an 11B Infantryman and completing basic training. His favorite high school memory was going on the Beta trip during his sophomore year.
Throughout high school, Jaiden's favorite subject has been World History, largely thanks to his appreciation for his teacher, Mr. Warnock. He plans to attend Missouri State University in Springfield to pursue a business degree. In ten years, Jaiden envisions himself as a successful individual, achieving both personal and professional milestones.
On Jaiden’s bucket list are three goals: traveling, earning his E-5 military rank, and owning a fish in a fish tank. He holds deep admiration for his brothers, crediting them for shaping the person he is today. Coach Honeycutt stands out as a key mentor, whose unwavering support left a lasting impact on Jaiden’s high school journey.
As graduation approaches, Jaiden reflects on what he’ll miss most: seeing his friends each day at AHS. If there’s one way he’d like to be remembered, it’s as someone who was always a good friend, particularly to those who needed support. His advice for underclassmen is simple but meaningful: say good morning.
