This is what happened today during our first activity with the Sphero we received from a grant from the Civil Air Patrol. We did some bridge building that had to span 12 inches and support the Sphero Sprk+ during a STEM activity. The students and staff had a blast!

How cute is Alton Elementary Librarian, Amy Janes' Christmas tree??

Thank you, Marilyn Cockrum and Tasha Reeves for your help during the Jr. Beta Convention. I gave them an itinerary (because it's hard for me to be in two places at once) and they took care of business. It's so WONDERFUL to work at a school with such caring and hardworking teachers as Mrs. Cockrum and Mrs. Reeves. THANKS AGAIN!

5th and 6th Grade had a GREAT day at the Jr. Beta Convention. The students represented Alton Elem. School very well! We brought home 5th in Language Arts, Chaney Janes, 2nd in Science and S.S., Burk Hopkins and Wyatt Cone. The construction crew brought home the GRAND PRIZE! I am super proud of the winners, but in my eyes they are all winners!

Check out Alton's future engineers! Grant Cauthen, Jacob Ruddy, Jackson Tucker, Payton Weyland, and Colton Muse made Alton proud yesterday by winning the Missouri Beta Engineering award! Congratulations to these boys and their hardworking sponsor, Mrs. Melissa Allen.
