
Transportation Policy: To clarify any confusion, we are asking that parents please provide a primary address, one that your child/children will go to every day. Then, please provide a secondary address that children will go to in an emergency. If an address change needs to be made, please do so in the office. If you have any questions, please call the office.

*August 13, 2019 prior to the Alton R-IV Open House: The Alton Public School Foundation will host a hotdog supper which includes a hotdog, chips, and drink for $2.00 in the Alton Elementary Multi-Purpose Building beginning at 5:30 pm. Spring Dipper Ice Cream will also be available for purchase as well.

FYI: The bus drivers will be at Open House tomorrow night (6:00-7:30). Please stop by their table in the elementary lobby if you have questions about pick up and/or drop off times.


Welcome back! We are going to host a Kindergarten Meet and Greet on Monday, August 12 at 5:30 in the multi-purpose building. We hope to provide parents with the chance to learn about some important information to help you and your child have a successful year. Bring supplies and you can leave them in the rooms and meet your teachers.

Meet Mrs. Lacie Willard- Second Grade Teacher

Experience: taught 3rd grade for 4 years in Fort Smith, AR

Meet Mrs. Andrea Foerster- HS Science
Mrs. Foerster lives in Van Buren, MO and also taught at the Van Buren School District. Her husband, Mr. Brian Foerster, is our high school math teacher.

Meet Mrs.Jana Gauley- Sixth Grade Teacher (Math)
Mrs. Gauley graduated from and lives in Bakersfield, MO. She attended college at Arkansas State and MSU-Springfield. She has 25 years experience in education and has worked at Gainesville and Bakersfield School Districts. She is a former high school softball coach.
Her birthday is March 2nd and she loves to shop at any mall and Hirsch's. She enjoys hamburgers, apples, butterscotch candy, Clif Bars, black coffee, tea, lilies, the color blue, pumpkin pie candles, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
She has two boys (Chris and Taylor Bales) and loves spending time with her four grandsons. Her pets include Toby, Bigs, Frankie, Cash, Max, and Jo Jo. She prefers being at home and working outside on the farm.

Meet Mrs. Jerri Williams-First Grade Teacher
Mrs. Williams lives in Alton, but graduated from Van Buren, MO. She graduated from the College of the Ozarks and has been a very active substitute teacher at Alton Elementary for many years. This will be her first year teaching.
Some of her favorites include Colton's and Las Margaritas restaurants. She loves tacos, watermelon, chocolate, goldfish crackers, chewy chocolate chip cookies, yellow cake with chocolate frosting, sweet tea, Coke, pink roses, the color pink, and her favorite sports teams are the Alton Comets and VB Bulldogs. She does not like coffee, but loves a beach vibe smell.
Mrs. Williams and her husband have two girls (Hattie, 9; Hadlee, 4). She has several cows and a dog named Sammie. Her birthday is August 27th and she loves to shop at Maurices, Target, and Dollar Tree.
She enjoys having fun with her girls, watching movies, and spending time at the river.
